King James - Sculpture

This bust, made of marble stone resin and hand-finished with a bronze patina, depicts King James I of England, who funded and brought the world the King James Bible.

King James I of England heard the pleas of the protestants during the Hampton Court Conference and commissioned the translation of a Bible that would be read in every church in the world. This led to the translation of the King James Bible from 47 of the most qualified educated translators of the time over the span of seven years (1604-1611). King James' work towards creating a unified and accurate Bible for the public to read led to the creation of the most accurate English Bible in existence to this day.

Product Dimensions: 8.5" wide x 6.5" deep x 11.75" high

Product Weight: 15.25 lb.

Because each sculpture is hand-finished rather than mass-produced, there will naturally be some color variation and no two will be exactly alike. This is part of the nature and beauty of handmade objects, and should not be considered a flaw or defect. If you are attempting to match your previous sculpture purchases or have a particular look in mind (more or fewer highlights, for example), please contact us and we will be happy to provide photos of our current inventory so you can select the exact sculpture that will be shipped to you.
