William Tyndale spent his early years studying at Oxford University, Magdalen College, and Cambridge University, and earned his Master's Degree at the young age of twenty-one. He wasso skilled in English, Latin, Greek, German, French, Italian, Spanish, and Hebrew that an associate once remarked, "Whichever he speaks, you might think it is his native tongue!"

Tyndale's Pentateuch (the books of Moses -- Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy) was originally printed in five parts, but has been compiled into one volume for this facsimile.
