Heritage Collection Introduction 20 x 24 Wall Display
The process by which God brought forth the written record of His Word through the pens of ordinary men over the course of centuries is nothing short of miraculous! As the Holy Spirit overshadowed these men and enabled them to write down His message, God’s Word was delivered to man. From those first scratches of quill on parchment, God’s Word was providentially protected in a process that would ultimately prove God’s promise of Divine preservation. To attempt to write such a large book, addressing such a variety of subjects, without drafts or edits of any kind would indeed be impossible; yet that is exactly how God’s Word was delivered. Kings, priests, prophets, shepherds, farmers, and fishermen were all used as penmen for this book; yet, despite the obvious differences in their backgrounds, locations, and education, they all had one thing in common: The Holy Spirit of God communicated His Word to them and through them, directed their thoughts, and guided their writing to record His Word for all ages. “For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost” (II Peter 1:21).
