The Geneva Bible 20 x 24 Wall Display

Because of the need for a pure and accurate translation of the Holy Scriptures, the Geneva Bible became the first English version translated entirely from the original languages of Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. This Bible was the work of English exiled reformers, assisted by Theodore Beza, John Calvin, and many others. William Wittingham, John Calvin’s brother-in-law, did much of the translation. The authors worked over candlelight for two years, both day and night, to complete the translation.

The Geneva Bible was the Bible of the Puritans and the Pilgrims and arrived with them in this country.

This facsimile page from the Geneva Bible is framed in an attractive and informative format with painstaking attention to detail, presenting a brief history of the page itself and the men responsible for its translation.

The Biblical Heritage Collection contains eighteen facsimile pages of original Bible texts. These precious pages have been lovingly and meticulously reproduced by our skilled technicians. One cannot help but feel an overwhelming debt of gratitude to the men of faith who sacrificed so much to provide us with God’s inspired and preserved Word.
